Renowned lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has expressed strong optimism about Aamir Khan’s forthcoming film, predicting it will resonate universally and achieve significant success. At the trailer launch of “Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar,” a film festival celebrating Khan’s contributions to Indian cinema, Akhtar stated, “I know I’m putting my neck on the line, but I’ve done this before and been proven right… Today, I’m predicting that the film which will connect with everyone is being made by Aamir, and that film will be a super hit.”
Reflecting on past interactions, Akhtar recalled advising Khan against taking roles in “Lagaan” and “Rang De Basanti,” both of which became iconic films. He admitted, “I asked him not to do ‘Lagaan’… But when I saw the first cut, I was blown away.”
While Akhtar did not disclose specific details about Khan’s upcoming project, his confidence suggests anticipation for a film that will deeply connect with audiences and achieve widespread acclaim.
