Donal Bisht Opens Up About ‘Tu Zakhm Hai’ Season 2, Co-Star Gashmeer Mahajani, and Future Projects

Donal Bisht, the actress who rose to fame through her participation in Bigg Boss 15 and roles in popular TV shows, recently spoke about her involvement in the second season of the web series Tu Zakhm Hai. Known for her versatile roles, Donal made her acting debut in 2015 with Twist Wala Love and has since become a familiar face on television, appearing in shows like Ek Deewaana Tha, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, and Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji.

In Tu Zakhm Hai, Donal plays a psychotherapist named Zara, who is held hostage by Viraj (played by Gashmeer Mahajani). Her character suffers from Stockholm syndrome and ends up falling in love with her captor. Reflecting on her experience, Donal shared, “Season 1 received great feedback, and the response to Season 2 has also been positive. The series focuses on my character, a psychologist who is caught in a complex and emotional situation. It’s been an exciting role to portray.”

Asked about her current focus in the entertainment industry, Donal revealed, “I want to grow and explore different opportunities. While television will always be a part of my journey, I’m in a phase where I’m exploring web series, and I’m grateful to my fans for supporting me in this new venture.”

On her experience working with Gashmeer Mahajani, Donal said, “Gashmeer is always wonderful to work with. The audience seems to love the chemistry between us, and that’s truly rewarding.”

Donal also shared that she was approached for a role in Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal opposite Gashmeer, but chose to focus on web series instead. “I wanted to take a break from television and dive into something different,” she explained.

Looking ahead, Donal expressed interest in working on genres like the iconic F.R.I.E.N.D.S and the epic Game of Thrones, where shows span across multiple seasons, giving room for deeper storytelling. “I want to do action-packed roles, like the ones Angelina Jolie played in Wanted and Mulan, or strong female-centric films like Raazi and Wonder Woman,” she shared.

When asked about Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Donal was quick to express her admiration for the actor: “Of course, he’s Salman Bhai! I love him! Every interaction I’ve had with him has been amazing. He’s genuinely a sweetheart, and that’s why people love him so much. His vibe is contagious!”
