In a major development for Bollywood fans, the trailer for the highly anticipated action thriller War 2 has been officially passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The trailer, which reportedly clocks in at 2 minutes and 39 seconds, is now confirmed to be unveiled next week, building immense excitement for the film’s August 14th release.
The CBFC has granted the War 2 trailer a ‘U/A’ (16+) certificate, indicating it’s suitable for unrestricted public exhibition but with a caution for children under 16 years of age who should watch it under parental guidance.
While the exact release date of the trailer hasn’t been officially announced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) yet, reports suggest it could drop online around July 24 or 25, just weeks ahead of the Independence Day weekend premiere.
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the YRF banner, is the sixth film in the successful YRF Spy Universe. It stars Hrithik Roshan, reprising his role as Agent Kabir, and marks the highly anticipated Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Jr. NTR, alongside Kiara Advani in leading roles. The film is expected to be an action-packed spectacle, releasing in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, and will also be available in IMAX format.
