Rajkummar Rao isn’t just a powerhouse performer—he’s also a true-blue foodie! While he’s known for delivering intense, nuanced performances on-screen, off-screen, he’s all about savoring every bite of life (quite literally). In an exclusive chat, Rajkummar takes us through his food obsessions, guilty pleasures, and that one time he cooked for Patralekhaa.

“I Can’t Resist a Good Aloo Paratha!”
Rajkummar starts his day in the simplest yet healthiest way possible—with a spoon of ghee, some almonds, and a steaming cup of black coffee. But when it comes to his absolute favorite food? “I love North Indian food. Aloo paratha is my weakness—especially when it’s drenched in butter,” he confesses.

“Patralekhaa Loved My Cooking—Or So She Said!”
Turns out, Rajkummar isn’t just about enjoying great food—he’s also tried his hand at cooking! “Once, I made sabudana khichdi for Patralekhaa. She said she liked it, so I guess I didn’t mess it up!” he laughs.

“Pani Puri Is My Kryptonite”
Every foodie has that one street food they just can’t resist, and for Rajkummar, it’s chaat—specifically pani puri. “I’m obsessed! There’s something about that burst of flavors—the spicy, tangy, crunchy goodness—it’s unbeatable,” he says.

“Yes, I Dine at Local Eateries—Why Shouldn’t I?”
A video of Rajkummar and Patralekhaa casually dining at Mumbai’s iconic Ram Ashraya went viral, leaving fans in awe of their simplicity. When asked about it, Rajkummar shrugs, “We love Ram Ashraya! I never wanted to become an actor if it meant giving up things I love. If we want to go out for a dosa, we go. What’s the big deal?”

His go-to Mumbai food spots? “Ram Ashraya for South Indian, Dum Pukht for rich Mughlai flavors, Urban Tadka for North Indian, and of course, the famous Juhu chaat corners.”

“Jolbhora Is My Ultimate Sweet Craving”
When it comes to desserts, Rajkummar is all about classic Indian flavors. “I love Bengali sweets—especially jolbhora made with gur (jaggery). It just melts in your mouth. Nothing beats Indian mithai.”

“I Refuse to Live in Isolation”
Despite his fame, Rajkummar refuses to hide behind security walls. He enjoys stepping out freely, even if it means taking a ton of selfies. “Mumbai is great that way. People don’t really disturb you while you’re eating, but yeah—once you get up, the selfies begin!” he chuckles.

From street-side chaat to fine dining, Rajkummar Rao lives by one simple rule—eat what you love and love what you eat. And honestly, that’s a philosophy we can all get behind!
