Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following his participation in the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, held in Mumbai from May 1 to May 4. During the summit, CM Fadnavis announced the development of a 120-acre Media and Entertainment City within Mumbai’s Film City, focusing on animation, gaming, and visual effects (VFX). Additionally, the establishment of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) in Mumbai was unveiled, with a ₹400 crore investment approved by the central government.
